How to deactivate your account (temporary)

Deactivating disables your account and hides your profile from search while keeping all of your data. You can reactivate at any time by signing back in.

1. Sign in and go to your Profile (Profile in the main menu).
2. On your profile page, click Deactivate Account.
3. Optionally choose a reason, then click Deactivate Account.
4. You will be signed out. To reactivate, sign in again with the same provider.

How to permanently delete your account

Deleting your account permanently removes your user account, profile, families, favorites, and all associated data. This action cannot be undone.

1. Sign in and go to your Profile (Profile in the main menu).
2. On your profile page, click Delete Account.
3. Read the summary of what will be deleted and the alternatives (e.g. deactivate).
4. Click Continue with Deletion, then type DELETE_MY_ACCOUNT to confirm.
5. Click Delete Account Permanently. You will be signed out and your data will be removed.
